Training for the Driving Horse

When Charlotte moved to Kentucky for 6 months in 2004, she never expected it would open new doors into driving horses for her. While she was there she worked with a 12 time World Champion Driving trainer and although his specialty was Saddlebreds, Hackney horses and ponies; the concepts and techniques worked on her horses great too! After breaking Skip to drive, Charlotte proceeded to show him in both Pleasure Driving and Utility Driving at the biggest APHA shows in the nation with great success. Since then she has worked with other breeds, including Morgans, and has even worked on Combined Driving horses.

If you have a horse, of any breed, you would like naturally started with a cart - we can do it safely and return to you a horse who is confident and calm in his new occupation! Minis drive great! They are super smart and easy to train, usually taking less time that the bigger horses do! We love to train and develop horses of all sizes and shapes!
